How battery status and time estimates work
In Live view, MiBa Solar can estimate time to 100% while charging or to your saved Low battery percentage while discharging. The estimate is approximate and appears only when all required current readings are usable.
What the card uses
- SOC (%)
- The battery's reported state of charge.
- Battery power (W)
- The current charge or discharge rate after MiBa Solar normalizes the Deye direction.
- Rated capacity (Ah) and voltage (V)
- Inverter-reported inputs used to approximate the battery's rated energy in Wh.
- Low battery (%)
- An optional MiBa Solar preference you save in Settings. It is not claimed to be the inverter's own reserve setting.
How the estimate is calculated
Charging uses the distance from the current SOC to 100%. Discharging uses the distance from the current SOC to the saved Low battery percentage. MiBa Solar rounds a usable result to five minutes and labels it approximate.
The calculation assumes the current power continues. Solar production, home consumption, battery-management limits, temperature, conversion losses, and charge taper can change the real time substantially.
Why an estimate may be withheld
- The selected view is Today or a calendar date rather than Live.
- Battery data is stale, unsupported, missing, or invalid.
- The battery is idle or the power magnitude is below the meaningful threshold.
- The battery is already full while charging or at/below the saved low target while discharging.
- No Low battery percentage has been saved for a discharge estimate.
- The calculated duration is outside the application's supported display range.
Set the Low battery preference
- 1
Open Settings
Open Battery & schedule and find Low battery (fixed reserve).
- 2
Enter a whole number from 1 to 99
Choose the application target you want the dashboard estimate to use. MiBa Solar does not guess a default.
- 3
Save and return to Live
A discharge estimate appears only when the current battery inputs and direction also qualify.
This setting does not control the battery
Changing Low battery percentage affects only the MiBa Solar estimate. It does not change the inverter, BMS, work mode, reserve SOC, or discharge limit.
